Hello Barker and Garner families,
I just wanted to send a message saying that I am remembering this weekend one year ago when all of you changed my life and I won the Mane Event Essay contest. I feel very grateful everyday when I go out to feed, brush and work with my beautiful filly, RHR King Drifter. I just wanted you to know that she is coming along nicely and that she is registered as one of my 4H projects this year. It is an in hand project as I don't want to rush her learning. She will go through the 4H program as well we will travel around to numerous clinics. She will enjoy being ponied on many rides and please know that I have big plans for this amazing horse. Thank you again, I wish all of the essay entrants luck this year and hope that all of you have a great time at the Mane Event!
ps. I am looking forward to being back at the Mane Event in Chilliwack to ride with my drill team. Especially, in the glow in the dark show!

After buying three horses out of the colt starting challenge sales, I guess you could say we're part of the " Back in the Saddle" philosophy of the Garner family. We have used the two blue roans and the grey for pleasure rides (many trips to the mountains) and ranch work with grandkids and family. Thanks Rocking Heart Ranch for introducing us to quality horses and friendly personalized service!

Would just like to take a moment to express my gratitude towards your entire family!
The Weanling I received was by far the quietest horse I have ever worked with. It was truly a pleasure to work with her. This challenge has been one of the most rewarding experiences I have ever had the opportunity to participate in.
If I was set up to have another horse at home long term, I would have purchased her in a heartbeat. I will miss her little whinny when I go out to feed in the mornings.
So thank you all again for this amazing experience, it will not be forgotten.

Participating in Rocking Heart Ranch's 60 Day Colt Starting Challenge was wonderful experience. It gave me an opportunity to show a bit more of Western Canada what I can do. The Garner's are a great family to work with, very open and fair. They made sure each trainer knew exactly what was expected and what the criteria was for each component of the competition. The horses were all good stock and I was VERY happy with my mare who's name I drew out of a cowboy hat on the first day of the challenge. ThankYou Rocking Heart Ranch and I hope that many other 'up and coming' trainers grab a hold of this opportunity as they challenge themselves to become better trainers.

Just want to let you know that Wilene is loving Chester. She has lunged him with saddle and bridle on. She has been on him for small moments. Today she was sitting on the rails of the round pen and with the touch of the whip she had him move right along side the rail. He is very nice, level headed horse so far. Hasn't offered to buck even when saddled first time and lunged. He ponies really well beside her old mare. He is well mannered and respectful of her space. Thanks so much.
