RHR Country Docs "Cayenne"
Cayenne is an example of when we know crosses are so good, that you repeat them! This is a tried and true cross with a dam that is red roan, soggy, and throws great colts. The sire, King Docs Hill is our gentle giant and has a great attitude. Cayenne is a gelding that will mature to be a versatile all around horse. He has been through our weanling challenge and been given great ground manners with the ability to halter, lead at all gaits, pick up feet, and trailer load.
Cayenne is laid-back well-mannered 2022 model who takes everything in stride. He was started here at the ranch by our summer intern, Kate and is that level headed, friendly, and smart horse that is picking up on his training quite easily and confidently. He has many trail miles, both in groups and solo, and is just as happy leading as he is following. He's been ridden in the mountains and has excellent stamina- his longest ride is date was just under 5 hours. Moves out easily with three smooth gaits and is the perfect blend of steady and responsive with a willingness to give more than asked. Been in clinics with Kade Mills and LV Livestock where he handled new environments and tasks like a pro. He has been exposed to a wide range of obstacles, including river crossings, tarps, and bridges and has taken it all in stride. He's roped the dummy, dragged logs, and has been lightly started on the cutting flag. With his exposure and mindset, Cayenne is ready to step into a variety of roles- 4-H partner, trail horse, family horse, or pretty much whatever he is asked to be. He is 15 HH. His one flaw is his back right foot is a bit crooked. It hasn't bothered him and he stays sound, just not conformationally perfect. X-rays will be shared with interested parties.
He is currently being used by a local family for the remainder of the 4-H season and will be back on offer at the end of July 2026.
