OUR STORY
We are a three-generation ranch dedicated to the production of versatile and dependable American Quarter Horses. Our program combines the best traits from trusted Hancock and modern lines, producing horses the whole family can enjoy for work, competition, and pleasure. Nestled next to Waterton National Park, our story, and herd, are of one of resilience and growth.

BROOD MARE & BABIES TOUR | June - August, 2026
Step behind the gates of a real working ranch and experience the magic of summer at Rocking Heart Ranch! Our 90-minute Broodmares & Babies Tour takes you into the heart of our Quarter Horse breeding program, where you’ll meet our beautiful broodmares, watch playful foals interact with their mothers, and learn what it takes to raise versatile ranch horses from birth.
YOUNG GUNS COMPETITION | SEPTEMBER 11 - 13. 2026
The Young Guns Colt Starting Challenge is a partnership between Horse Expo Canada and Rocking Heart Ranch. It is an opportunity for the next generation of horse trainers to compete in a 3-day Colt Starting Event to build experience and their profile. The winner of the challenge will be invited to move up the ranks and be a trainer at the 2027 Horse Expo Trainer’s Challenge.
WEANLING CHALLENGE | TBD, 2026
The Rocking Heart Ranch Weanling Challenge is a friendly contest aimed at giving youth and adults an opportunity to grow as a horse trainer. Successful applicants will have two randomly drawn Rocking Heart Ranch weanlings loaded into their horse trailer for three weeks of halter training at the applicant’s home. After the training period, all competitiors will come together to showcase their colt's skills and compete for prizes!
