Meet Hawkeye; a classic dun stallion carrying the kind of heritage that built the Quarter Horse industry. Standing a solid, compact 14.3 HH, Hawkeye brings back the proven, old-school blood of the legendary Two Eyed Jack on the sire side—exactly the influence we have been eager to increase in our program. With his sturdy build, balanced conformation, and easygoing disposition, he represents the type of honest, dependable ranch horse that never goes out of style.
For our family, this cross is especially meaningful. Growing up, the Garner kids spent countless hours horseback on Two Eyed Jack–bred horses; rounding up cattle, heading out hunting, or simply riding for the joy of it. Jim’s favorite horse of all time, “Jack,” was a gelding from these very bloodlines and the go-to ranch horse for years. Bringing that kind of reliability, heart, and work ethic back into our herd has been a goal for a long time.
We were thrilled to purchase Hawkeye from the respected program of Mary Robinson, knowing he would add both quality and character to our breeding program. His pedigree and temperament make him the perfect cross on our more robust Blue Valentine mares, and he offers exciting possibilities with our other traditional lines as well. Along with strong structure and sound minds, he’s sure to pass on eye-catching colour to the next generation.
Hawkeye is a stallion built to leave a mark—bringing balance, versatility, and a touch of history back to our breeding program. We can’t wait to see his first foal crop hit the ground in 2027.
